Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Abundant Mom is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 41-3405358), so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Keep your donation receipt for your records, and consult your tax advisor about your specific situation.
Where will the housing be built?
In South Florida — that’s where our founder lives, where the need is acute, and where our community is. We’re currently in our founding fundraising phase ($250,000 goal) toward our first community, so a specific property hasn’t been selected yet. Follow along on Instagram or check back here for updates as the project develops.
Who will qualify to live in an Abundant Mom community?
Our communities are intended primarily for mothers who need support — especially single moms working hard to build stability for their families. Detailed eligibility criteria will be published as our first community takes shape. How will rent be set?
Below market — meaningfully below what comparable apartments in the area charge, so a working mom can get ahead instead of just getting by. Every resident will also receive an itemized rent “invoice” showing exactly what her rent covers (utilities, water, landscaping, maintenance), because understanding the true cost of running a household is part of the financial education we believe in.
Is there a rent-to-own option?
Not yet — and we want to be honest about that. A genuine path toward homeownership, including exploring rent-to-own structures, is a future goal, not a current promise. We’d rather under-promise and over-deliver than offer something we can’t responsibly stand behind.
What makes Abundant Mom different from other affordable housing?
Most affordable housing stops at the apartment. We pair below-market homes with the things that actually help a family rise: remote-work training, an online course library, financial-literacy support, and a vetted roster of services — food banks, childcare resources, legal aid, and nonprofit partners — plus a real community of moms who get it.

Who runs Abundant Mom?
Abundant Mom was founded by Chelsea Rizzo, a mom of three and full-time creator who spent over a decade in real estate — including five years in investor relations working with institutional investors and time as a COO overseeing the renovation of 300+ distressed housing units with community services and tenant support.
