We are a nonprofit organization building a path to affordable housing, career development, and practical family support for mothers in South Florida — starting with our founding goal of raising $250,000 toward our first community for moms.
Who we are
Abundant Mom is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our tax-exempt status was granted under IRS Letter 947, dated June 30, 2026, effective December 26, 2025. We are classified as a 509(a)(2) public charity, and we are based in Tampa, Florida. Our Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 41-3405358.
What does that mean in plain English? Donations to Abundant Mom are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and we operate under the transparency and accountability rules that come with federal nonprofit status — including annual public filings with the IRS.

Why “Abundant Mom”?
The name is a promise. Our founder grew up watching her single mom turn scarcity into abundance — stretching every dollar, giving money she didn’t have, and repeating two phrases: “We can’t afford it right now” and “Nothing is ever impossible.” Abundance was never about having everything. It was about refusing to let “not enough” be the end of the story.
That’s the posture we bring to this work. Moms don’t need charity that diminishes them. They need a real shot — a stable home, skills that pay, and a community that believes in what’s possible for their family.

Meet the founder
Chelsea Rizzo is a mom of three and the founder of Abundant Mom. She grew up very poor with a single mother in a one-bedroom apartment — an upbringing that taught her both how heavy the math of poverty is and how powerful a mother’s faith can be.
Professionally, Chelsea spent over a decade in real estate (2012–2023), including five years as Vice President of Investor Relations at Pintar Real Estate Investments, working with institutional investors, and later as Chief Operating Officer of Patriarch Investments, where she oversaw the renovation of more than 300 distressed housing units — along with community services, financial-literacy training, and tenant support for the families who lived there.
She started her career in the wreckage of the housing crash and spent years on the investor side of the table, including “cash for keys” work that showed her exactly how the system fails families. That experience is what turned her toward affordable housing — she decided she was on the wrong side of the door and wanted to spend her life on the right one.
The mission became personal in a hospital room when her son was six weeks old and nearly died. There, Chelsea met a mother who couldn’t afford healthcare for her baby and had to go back to work. She has said that was the moment everything clicked: she had to do something about this.
After building a six-figure online business from her phone while raising three babies under three — and then walking away from it when the pace broke her health — Chelsea is now a full-time creator directing everything she earns toward one goal: funding the first Abundant Mom homes for mothers in South Florida.
What we’re doing now
We are in our founding chapter: raising $250,000 to fund our first housing project, building the program model (below-market rents, remote-work training, financial education, and a roster of family support services), and assembling the community of donors, partners, and advocates who will make it real.
