Home is more than a roof. It is the room to breathe and begin again.

No mother should have to choose between her baby and her bills.

Abundant Mom is built on a simple belief: stable housing can change the trajectory of a family. Our vision pairs attainable rent with financial education, career pathways, and trusted community resources.

“I grew up very poor with a single mom.”

A mission shaped by lived experience

Abundant Mom began long before the nonprofit. It grew from Chelsea's childhood, more than a decade in real estate and affordable housing, and a business built in the demanding middle of motherhood.

The beginning

Raised by a single mother

Chelsea grew up in poverty with a single mom. Housing insecurity, financial pressure, and the impossible choices mothers face were never abstract ideas.

A personal understanding of housing instability
2012

Real estate after the housing crash

She entered real estate working for an operator serving institutional investors. The human cost she witnessed through “cash for keys” forced an honest reckoning—and redirected her work toward affordable housing.

Columbus

More than 300 affordable homes

As COO, Chelsea helped oversee the rehabilitation of 300+ affordable housing units on the South Side of Columbus, Ohio, with community services, financial-responsibility education, and resident support woven into the work.

An early community-first model

She later introduced CARE, a Columbus affordable housing concept designed around deeper resident services. The plan earned support from the South Side Area Commission but did not move into development. Its community-centered model endured.

Motherhood

A company built from her phone

While raising three babies under three, Chelsea built Abundant Management, helped launch 57+ online businesses for mothers, and authored three books. The company reached a six-figure month and $33,000 in monthly recurring revenue before she stepped away after burnout.

Turning experience into stable homes

Today, Chelsea is bringing her housing, business, and lived experience together through Abundant Mom—a South Florida nonprofit with a $250,000 founding goal.

Building opportunity through housing

A foundation built through the work.

Abundant Mom brings together Chelsea's real estate leadership, affordable housing experience, and record of helping mothers build online income—with the hard-won perspective of a mother who understands the cost of carrying too much alone.

Affordable housing designed around the whole family.

Our long-term vision is to acquire apartment communities in South Florida where mothers can access attainable rent, career development, and practical support in one connected model.

I.

Attainable monthly rent

The working model aims to keep housing costs below approximately 30% of resident income. Final eligibility and lease terms remain in development.

II.

Career and remote-work pathways

Job-readiness support, remote-work training, and a practical online learning library, including sales education.

III.

Connected family services

Clear pathways to childcare, food assistance, legal aid, and trusted nonprofit resources—so mothers can spend less time searching and more time moving forward.

IV.

A future path to ownership

A later-phase rent-to-own concept may direct approximately 10% toward homeownership. It is a vision under development, not a current program promise.
